Regular Lawn Mowing
Consistent mowing at the right height is the single biggest factor in how a lawn looks and how resilient it is. We set the cut height based on your grass type, the time of year and the growing conditions — never scalping in summer, never leaving it too long in spring. Your lawn is left with clean, parallel lines and clippings removed or mulched depending on what suits it best.

Edging & Strimming
The edges of a lawn define the whole look of a garden. Clean, crisp lines between grass and border, path or patio tell you immediately whether a garden is properly cared for. We edge along all beds, borders, paths and driveways on every visit — using a half-moon edging iron or rotary edger as the situation demands — and strim any areas the mower cannot reach.

Scarification & Aeration
Thatch is the layer of dead grass and organic matter that builds up at soil level. A thin layer is fine, but once it thickens it prevents water and nutrients reaching the roots and creates the perfect environment for moss. Scarification removes it. Aeration relieves compaction — particularly important for lawns that are used regularly — allowing air, water and nutrients to penetrate to root depth. Both treatments are best carried out in autumn or spring and make a visible difference to lawn density and colour within weeks.

Fertilisation & Weed Control
Grass needs feeding to stay thick and green — and a thick, healthy lawn is the best natural defence against weeds. We use slow-release granular fertilisers appropriate to the season: higher nitrogen formulations in spring to encourage growth, lower nitrogen and higher potassium products in autumn to harden the grass for winter. Where persistent broadleaf weeds have established we treat them selectively, targeting daisies, dandelions, clover and plantain without affecting the surrounding turf.

Turfing & Lawn Repair
Patchy, worn or bare areas let the whole lawn down and tend to get worse without intervention. We repair damaged sections by overseeding where the soil is in good condition or relaying turf where the damage is more extensive. Before any repair we address the cause — whether that's compaction, drainage, shade or wear — so the new grass establishes properly rather than replicating the same problem. Full lawn replacement is also available where a lawn is beyond repair and a fresh start makes more sense.

Seasonal Lawn Treatments
A lawn's needs change significantly through the year and a one-size programme does not serve it well. In spring we focus on encouraging growth and recovering from winter. Through summer we manage growth rates and drought stress. In autumn we prepare the turf for winter — the most important treatment window for long-term lawn health. In winter we limit compaction and keep the lawn clear of debris. Each visit is adjusted to match what the lawn actually needs at that time, not what a fixed schedule dictates.
