Started With a Van, a Vision, and a Pair of Green Fingers
In September 2018, Adam Bate turned his passion for horticulture into Spring Forward Landscaping — armed with a small van, hands-on experience across farms, arboretums and Network Rail, and a genuine belief that gardens could be better cared for.

Adam Bate
Founder & DirectorAdam founded Spring Forward in September 2018, turning years of hands-on experience — from local farms and arboretums to working with Network Rail — into a business built on craft. He's the reason every job gets done properly, and the person who set the standard that the whole team works to.
Lorna Bate
Marketing ManagerLorna joined in December 2019 and has been the driving force behind how Spring Forward presents itself to the world. From branding and marketing campaigns to managing communications, she ensures the quality of our work is matched by the way we talk about it.
Chris
Garden Maintenance Team LeaderWith over 15 years of experience in horticulture and a National Diploma in the field, Chris has dedicated his career to breathing life back into neglected gardens. He takes pride in restoring overgrown beds and borders, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of plants. He has a particular passion for cottage gardens and dramatic architectural planting — favourites include Cynara cardunculus and Echium pininana.

As a family-run business, we believe in giving back to the place we call home. Over the years we've raised money, donated time, and put our skills to work for causes that matter to us.
St Richards Hospice
Over the past four years we have been involved with St Richards Christmas tree collection. All the money raised helps individuals and their families who have progressive illnesses and/or in their last days of life. To find out more click the link to visit their website.
Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust
Back in 2020 we were able to support Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust and their Stars of Light Campaign. We were able to make a financial contribution to a campaign that allowed parents and families of children who were or had been treated for cancer to remember them at Christmas time. Worcestershire Ambassadors & Worcester Community Trust
In September 2021 Lorna, our Office Manager bravely took part in the Worcester 10k in aid of Worcestershire Ambassadors and Worcester Community Trust raising funds for their Mental Health Services and training.

From the very beginning, the whole process was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Adam took the time to explain things in a way that really helped me visualise the outcome, which made such a difference when trying to make decisions. He had great suggestions and helped me think everything through, but it never felt pushy. Everything was clearly explained, including where the budget was going, which gave me real confidence in the process. Once the work started, the weather definitely wasn’t on their side, but Adam and Tony showed up every day and kept making progress when I’m sure many companies would have simply delayed the job. Organised for Adam and the team to relay a concrete pad, make me some raised beds with a small patio, rework an access pathway and returf a previously gravelled section of the garden. Great team of guys, Adam (x2), Tom, Chris and Tony got on with the work and have done a beautiful job for me. Very pleased with the results and would easily use again if I had any other projects in the future.
